Are you a widow? Do you ever feel alone? Do you feel no one understands? Do you sometimes need a shoulder to cry on or an encouraging word? Would you like to reach out to other widows? Widow to Widow is for you.
From our Senior Pastor Dr. Steve Livengood: There is a tender story in the Bible about two widows — Ruth and her mother-in-law Naomi. They cared for and comforted each other, and in spite of their great loss, were able to see God’s hand in their lives. He made a way for them by providing Ruth with a field in which she could gather wheat. That wheat provided Ruth and Naomi with their daily sustenance.
Because of this story, our Widow to Widow ministry’s logo is a sheath of wheat—a constant reminder that although life is tough sometimes, God’s love and provision is more than enough to meet all of our needs.
Thank you for your interest in our Widow to Widow ministry. I hope you will get connected and grow closer to others who are experiencing God’s love and provision in very real ways. Please let us know how we can help.
Because of the comfort and hope Jesus Christ has given us, we are widows offering other widows comfort and encouragement through fellowship and service to others.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Cor. 1:3-4, NKJV
We are a group of widows who come together to share, grow, and serve not only each other, but those who will inevitably share in this very difficult experience.
Our experience of losing someone so close can be a powerful strength for others and a wonderful opportunity to share the hope and love that only Jesus Christ can give.
We welcome any widow to be a part of our group.
