Because of your generous prayer and financial commitment to the Kingdom Initiative, we are now ready
to begin planning for our new childrens wing.During our first quarter business meeting, our church unanimously approved the Steering Team's recommendation to name Larry Cook, Mark Cashion, and Rick Jones to work with the pastors on a project development team. This team will complete a feasibility study for our new childrens wing, which is part of our Kingdom Initiative emphasis.
LARRY COOK
Larry Cook and his wife, Barbara, were members of
the First Family for 10 years before they moved to
Alabama a few years ago. Prior to moving to
Alabama, Larry served as church treasurer and a
deacon at the First Family. They've been back at the
First Family for about a year. Larry has been a building
contractor for the last seven years after retiring from
General Motors. He and Barbara have three children and five
granddaughters.MARK CASHION
Mark
Cashion and his wife, Kim, joined the First Family almost six years ago after
moving to Columbia from Bolivar in West Tennessee. At his previous church, Mark
was ordained as a deacon, served as chairman of the
finance committee, and was the Royal Ambassador
leader. Since joining the First Family, Mark has served
on the finance committee, taught a small group, and
served as an active deacon. For the last four years, he has been
involved in the children's ministry as the Awana Commander and most
recently a KIDS Club leader on Wednesday nights. Mark works for Farm
Bureau as an assistant vice president. He and Kim have a two-year-
old daughter, Caroline.RICK JONES
Rick Jones and his wife, Wendy, were transferred to
Middle Tennessee in August 2006. After several
months of searching for a church home, they
attended the First Family and knew this was the
place God wanted them to belong. They joined the
First Family last February and are members of the
Whatley/Trammell small group where they serve as
co-inreach leaders. Rick is the state plant manager for First American
Title in Cool Springs. He and Wendy have three children: Abigail (7),
Adrianna (6), and John (3).
