We exist as a church to make disciples for the glory of God. There are three keys to our mission:
- Christ-Centered Worship
We gather to worship our holy, precious Lord Jesus Christ. Revelation 5:12-13 (NKJV), says:
“‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!’
And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth
and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and
all that are in them, I heard saying:
‘Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!'”
There is only one way that we can approach God and that’s through the work Jesus (the Lamb who was slain) did on our behalf on the cross when He died for our sins. He is worthy of our worship, and we worship with both humility and boldness.
- Bible-Centered Teaching
The Word of God has the power to change us from the inside out. Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) says:
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
The Bible is much more than informational; it’s transformational. We will study the Word and align our lives to it — individually and as a church.
- Gospel-Centered Living
The Gospel message — the story of how God loves us and has made a way for us to have a relationship with Him — is found throughout Scripture. Once we accept God’s plan for our lives through repentance and faith, we can — and should — live the way we were designed to live. Consider these verses:
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:8-10, NKJV
“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4, NKJV
We will focus our lives on the Gospel and share it with others.
