First Family Begins 'New' Women's Ministry

The women of the First Family are launching a newly organized women's ministry. Led by Marie Armenia, this ministry's aim is to enable the women of the church to better serve one another and show our "love for one another" to our community. We hope to identify and focus in on the needs of the women who attend the First Family – and to encourage and stand united with the ministry to women that already exists within our Body through partnering with Pastor Dave and our small groups and one-on-one fellowship.

Every woman has a unique story to tell and we want to know each woman's story. The women of the First Family cover the whole spectrum – single, married, divorced, and widowed. Each woman's journey can be used by the Lord to encourage another woman following in her footsteps. Whether a woman is in a season of needing help or giving help - she is part of the portrait of the woman of First Family.

The first step in our journey is to encourage women to fill out a brief online survey (or to pick up a copy of the survey at Information Central for women who do not have Internet access). This survey will give us a clear picture of the women in our church in an attempt to better serve them.

As we begin this ministry to women, we thank God for the faithfulness of the women who have gone before us – who sacrificed their time and talents in past ministry to the women of First Baptist Columbia. It is because of them that we continue today.
