The Bible teaches that God created us, He loves us, and He wants
to know us personally. (Ephesians 1:4-5). And yet, so many fail
to experience a real relationship with God. The reason is that our
sinfulness or wrongdoing gets in the way. It separates us from
God and keeps us from experiencing the life He created for us (Romans 3:23).
But the Good News is that there is a way to restore that relationship. The
way is Jesus! Jesus is the Son of God and He was sent to this earth to
rescue us from our sins and restore us to friendship with God (Romans 5:10).
Through His death, burial, and resurrection Jesus wiped away our sins and
made it possible for us to experience the grace of God.
The Bible calls this a "gift" (Ephesians 2:8).
And, as with any gift, we must accept it in order to experience it. So
how do we accept the gift of God? It's simple. Just read how God's
Word describes it...
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved… or everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:9-10, 13
"Repent then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." Acts 3:19
