- What is the purpose of the Kingdom Initiative?
The purpose of the Kingdom Initiative is to spend the next three years reducing debt so we can expand local ministries, develop new ministries, and add facilities to reach the large number of new families moving into our area. It is expected that at the end of the three years, we will have significantly reduced our monthly debt service and significantly expanded our investment of people and money into the kinds of ministries Jesus encouraged in Matthew 25.

- What will be expected of me?
What we are asking of everyone in the congregation is to:
PRAY. Person by person, family by family, we must all be in prayer during these days. Each person's prayer should be along the lines of, "God, what do you want me to give these next three years, over and above my tithes and offerings and over and above my current level of service for the future of the ministry of our church?" If we will take this spiritual journey together, we will come to the Commitment Celebration and be able to make a financial commitment saying, "This is God's will for us!"
PREPARE. We want to open every line of communication and provide answers to the questions our people have. It is important for all of us to listen and read carefully each piece of information that is provided.
PARTICPATE. In order for our campaign to be successful, we will need everyone to help. Be ready to say "yes" when called upon. We want everyone to attend the special events of the campaign. Especially important are the special prayer events and the Commitment Celebration. These are "don't miss" events for every household in our church.

- What is our church currently doing in local ministry?
Currently we support several local ministries that we believe are making a difference in Maury County for the Kingdom of God. While our current support is limited, additional funds could help us make a significant impact in these ministries both financially and through encouraging our members to engage in these ministries. Additional funds could also help to develop new ministries that will provide even more opportunities for our members to engage in making a difference in our community and in our world as Jesus stated in Matthew 25.

- Is the Kingdom Initiative just another building program?
One of our greatest ministry tools is our facility. The growth in our community is providing opportunity to reach more people for the Kingdom. Additional space will be needed. Our most pressing need is more children's space. Additional funds are needed to provide this space.

- How will Kingdom Initiative funds be used?
Obviously, more funds raised would provide more opportunity for ministry. Our three mains goals are:
- Commit the first 10% of Kingdom Initiative dollars to local ministry. At the end of three years, we desire to increase our annual budget to $100,000 for local ministry partners (our current budget for local ministry partner support is $3,600).
- Reduce debt so that our budgeted debt service can be reduced and more of our budget can be used to fund local ministry, both through the ministries of our church and through our local ministry partners. Our current debt is $2.75 million, and our current debt service is $380,000 annually. Kingdom Initiative funds will be used to reduce our debt to $930,000 and our debt service to $121,000 annually.
- Raise at least $1,500,000 for the construction of a new children's wing.

- What is our current indebtedness?
The only indebtedness our church now has is the mortgage on our building. We are in the 5th year of a 15-year mortgage, and the remaining balance on our loan is approximately $2.75 million. The final payment on our current mortgage is due on December 1, 2017.

- How is my Kingdom Initiative faith commitment different from my tithe?
Your tithe represents 10% of the financial blessings the Lord gives you on a regular basis. The First Family uses your tithe for our general fund operations, which would include the day-to-day administration of programs, outreach efforts and staff. The Kingdom Initiative is a special offering, based on your commitment, that is above and beyond the tithe.

- When and how will commitments and gifts be received for the Kingdom Initiative?
Kingdom Initiative faith commitment cards have been mailed out and are also available at Information Central. Members are encouraged to prayerfully consider a financial commitment for the next three years and then bring their commitment cards to the Commitment Celebration on Sunday, November 11. Thereafter, a special Kingdom Initiative line item will be placed on the regular offering envelopes that will be distributed at the first of the year. You may give weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually or in a lump sum. You may also give stocks, securities or other non-cash assets.

- When will construction start on the new children's wing and how long will it take to complete?
Shortly after the Commitment Celebration, the church will name a Project Development Team to oversee the process of selecting a builder, designing a building, and completing the construction. Our hope is to begin construction sometime before the end of 2008 with completion the following year.

- Does this facility expansion complete our Master Plan?
Our "Master Plan" is an ever-evolving plan to use our property and buildings in the most effective way possible to reach our region for Christ. Thus, it truly will never be complete until the Lord returns. We anticipate that as the needs of our region change, the Master Plan will change with it.
