As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a chef or caterer. I have always loved to cook and enjoy it even now. My family's only complaint is that I rarely cook the same thing twice, because I never use a recipe.

Who's your favorite superhero? Why? Does Bobby Flay count? I would love to be able to wield a knife and cook the way he does.

What's the best thing about living in Columbia?
I think the thing that I like most about living in Columbia is that you can't leave Walmart without seeing at least one or two people you know. (Of course, when you are in a hurry that can also be a very frustrating thing,) But, overall, It's great to be in a town that is small enough that you feel connected wherever you go,

What book(s) are you reading?
I have just finished Crazy Love and Radical. I am currently reading the Millennials.

Share a Scripture that has specific meaning for you and why.
I pretty much love the whole book of Philippians, but my favorite passage is Phil 4:8: "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things." This verse has become somewhat of a life verse for our family. If there is any verse that sums up everything we hope for our children, I think it is this verse.

Pastor Joey, or “Mr. Joey” as he is known to our preschool children, oversees all aspects of our Preschool Ministry including small groups, Wednesday evening activities, special events, and general child care. Additionally, he serves as the administrator of our Weekday School Program.
